“Dado Valentic is Director and chief Colorist of Mytherapy, a boutique facility located in the heart of London’s film and media district. Dado began his career more than 16 years ago as an Engineer for Apple and later Sony Professional Europe, working along side the research & development unit. Building on this experience, Dado went on to work with various leading post-production facilities on top rating UK film & TV productions including Harry Potter and East Enders. It was during this time that Dado was able to gain a true insight into digital image processing technologies, and furthermore discover his talent for color grading.
In 2002 Dado experienced two milestone achievements; a BAFTA nomination and the opportunity to head-up one of Europe’s first HD finishing suite. In the 3 years following Dado observed many significant changes within the industry, most notably the introduction of new digital software- and hardware–enabled color grading systems.
Dado felt the time was right to take his wealth of knowledge and industry experience and set up his own facility, MyTherapy. Within the domain of MyTherapy, Dado enjoyed full freedom to push the boundaries for creative engineering of color grading techniques and develop highly sophisticated digital workflow processes.
Dado is currently one of the most experienced stereoscopic 3D colorists in the UK. He is often invited to talk about his experience and creative know-how at industry events and is working as a demo artist for DaVinci.
Dado believes that color and music go hand in hand, which explains his occasional night job as DJ, under the moniker Tito Heron.
Dado has worked with many hugely talented and well-respected names within TV, film and Video industries on several high-achieving productions and commercials. His credits include: Sherlock Holmes, Mr Nice, Don Quixote in 3D, Carmen in 3D, Flying Monsters in 3D, Coca Cola, Kylie, T-Mobile, Nestle, Orange, Speedo, Bugs 3D, Nintendo and Red Bull.”
